Personal Mailing Address: Terms & Conditions

Service Overview

The Personal Mailing Address service provides individuals with access to a secure and private mailing address located at Salt Space Coworking in New Farm, Brisbane. It is designed for personal correspondence only, and must not be used for business-related purposes unless explicitly approved under a separate agreement.

2. What’s Included

  • A personal mailing address at Salt Space Coworking
  • Acceptance of standard letters and courier parcels (subject to size and weight limits)
  • Email notifications within 24 hours of mail arrival
  • Secure mail storage for up to 1 month
  • Up to 5 documents scanned and emailed each month upon request
  • Optional mail forwarding service ($10 per item + postage)

3. Personal Use Only

This service is intended for private individuals only. You must not use the address for:

  • ASIC, ABN, or business registration
  • Google Business Profile verification
  • Business correspondence, inventory management, or resale operations

4. Accepted Items

We accept standard mail and parcels that meet the following conditions:

  • Max dimensions: 50cm x 40cm x 40cm
  • Max weight: 10kg

Items exceeding these limits may be declined or incur a handling/storage fee from $15. Clients will be notified when practical.

5. Mail Collection & Authorisation

  • Collection is available during staffed hours (Mon–Fri, 8:00am–5:00pm).
  • Photo ID must be presented upon collection.
  • To authorise a third party to collect mail, written consent must be emailed to Salt Space in advance. The authorised person must also present ID.

6. Mail Scanning & Forwarding

  • Up to 5 mail items per month may be scanned and emailed free of charge.
  • Mail forwarding is available upon request for $10 per item + postage costs.
  • Salt Space is not liable for courier delays or damages after the item leaves our premises.

7. Storage Policy

  • Mail and parcels will be stored for up to 1 month.
  • After 1 month, items may be returned to sender or securely destroyed.
  • Clients requesting extended storage may be charged $10/week.

8. Service Limitations

This service does not include:

  • Handling of pallets, freight, or oversized deliveries
  • Repackaging or splitting of parcels
  • Coordinating courier pickups
  • Receiving large volumes of mail (>10 items per week)

9. Liability

Salt Space Coworking:

  • Does not insure or guarantee the contents of received mail
  • Is not responsible for loss, damage, or delays once mail is forwarded
  • May refuse or discard items that are unlawful, dangerous, or clearly inappropriate

10. Membership & Cancellation

  • The Personal Mailing Address service is billed monthly or annually, and renews automatically unless cancelled in writing.
  • Clients must notify Salt Space before their billing cycle renews to avoid charges.
  • Upon cancellation, all outstanding mail must be collected or forwarding requested (charges apply). Mail received after membership termination will be returned to sender or securely discarded.

10. Invoicing and payment

  • The agreement will auto-renew monthly or annually depending on your selection.
  • An invoice will be issued at the start of the billing period (in advance)
  • Non-payment within 7 days of the due date may result in suspension or termination of services.

11.  Behaviour and Legal Compliance

  • We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone engaging in violent, threatening, or abusive behaviour.
  • We do not accept unlawful, obscene, or otherwise objectionable material. Such items will be disposed of at our discretion.
  • Clients must comply with all local, national, and international regulations.
  • Misuse of the service for any illegal activity may result in notification to relevant authorities.

12. Holiday Period

Salt Space Coworking will be closed for a period each year during Christmas/New Year. Mail and parcel delivery services may be unavailable during this time. Clients are responsible for collecting all pending items prior to the closure period.
