Step-by-Step: Video Verification Process
To verify your business on Google using video, follow these steps:
Step 1: Book Your Setup at Salt Space
- Email work@saltspace.com.au to book a time for your video recording
- Send a high-resolution version of your logo
– We’ll print signage with your business name to display at the workspace - Gather branded materials (e.g. business cards, brochures) to use during the video
Step 2: Record Your Video (Using Your Mobile Device)
You must record directly through your Google Business Profile on your mobile device. You cannot upload a pre-recorded video.
How to Start:
- On your mobile device, open your Google Business Profile
- Tap “Get Verified” and choose “Video”
- Tap “Capture Video” > “Start Recording”
- Allow access to your camera, microphone, and location
- Film your video continuously (no cuts or edits)
- Tap “Stop Recording” and review your video
- Tap “Upload Video”
Important Video Requirements
- Must be one continuous video, unedited
- ⏱Minimum 30 seconds
- Must be recorded directly through Google Business on your phone
- No people’s faces, private info, or sensitive data
- Clearly show your business name, location, and access
Additional Notes for service – area businesses
- Show branded tools, flyers, or vans
- Show signs from your service area or business materials
- Optional: utility bills or invoices (name must match Google profile)
⏳ Step 3: Wait for Review
Google will review your video within 5 business days
You’ll be notified via email when:
- Verification is successful
- Re-verification is needed
If rejected, Google will list exact reasons (e.g. “Business name not shown” or “No surrounding view”).
You can:
- Re-record and resubmit a corrected video
- Or wait if you believe your video meets all criteria
Optional: Delete Your Uploaded Video
If needed, delete your video:
- Go to your Business Profile
- Tap More > Advanced Settings
- Tap Video uploads > Delete videos
